This is the Menatone King, a completely reimagined take on the King of the Britains, drawing from some of the most iconic British amp designs. Inspired by the legendary 1968 Plexi circuit, the final evolution of the Plexi panel era, it captures the sought-after tonal balance of late ’67–’68 transition models, with a tighter low end and smooth highs free from the harsh bite of later metal panel amps.
From pristine cleans and bluesy JTM45-style tones at lower gain, to classic Plexi crunch in the mids, and all the way to saturated, searing high-gain roar when pushed, the King delivers a full spectrum of vintage British character in one pedal.
Handcrafted in the USA, it features point-to-point wiring, an LED indicator, and simple yet powerful controls: Volume, Gain, Presence, and Push.
